The big sell: According to RealtyLink, the website for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, house prices in Pemberton are approximately two times lower than neighbouring Whistler, just 35 kilometres away. How long this will last is hard to say, but both Pemberton and Squamish appear to reap the benefits of Whistler's success and increasing property prices. A testament to that is this three-storey townhouse in the Woodbridge complex that sold in less than a week. Attractions included tasteful updates: maple hardwood flooring, new appliances, paint and lighting. There are views of Mount Currie views from the sundeck, as well as a gas fireplace and a double garage. The home is also within proximity to the village. And, of course, there are those exceptional recreational activities in the surrounding countryside, thanks to the likes of geothermal hot springs, waterfalls, lakes and glaciers.
